Peace Union of Finland is an umbrella organisation of over ten Finnish peace organisations, from conscientous objectors to christian peace movement. Also private persons can become supporting members of the Peace Union.
The Peace Union is an active member of the International Peace Bureau, which is the oldest Peace Organisation. Peace Union follows many arms controls issues and advocasy as apart of that active in several international campaigns, such as the Cluster Munition Coalition, International Campaign to Ban Landlines, Abolition 2000 ( on nuclear weapon issues), Control Arms -campaign, IANSA the International Action Network on Small arms and ENAAT, European Network against Armstrade. Peace Union has since 1998 had a School for Peace -programme. School for Peace offers peace education with drama method for school and student groups. East Timor President and Nobel laureate José Ramos-Horta has been a "protector" of Peace School.
